Plasma Electrocoagulation for Vascular Lesions

Plasma Electrocoagulation for Vascular Lesions

Our Plasma Electrocoagulation treatment effectively targets vascular lesions, such as broken capillaries (Telangiectasia), blood lesions (Haemangioma), and spider veins (Spider Naevi). This safe and efficient treatment delivers a thermal effect, causing cellular dehydration and coagulation. Once treated, your body naturally removes the damaged capillaries through the lymphatic system, leaving clearer skin.

What It Treats

  • Telangiectasia (Broken Capillaries): Small clusters of red blood capillaries close to the skin’s surface that are more visible due to thinning skin and weakened collagen.
  • Spider Naevi (Spider Veins): Web-like clusters of capillaries with a central spot, usually found on the face and chest.
  • Haemangioma (Blood Lesions): Benign blood vessel growths that appear on the skin.

Causes of Vascular Lesions

Vascular lesions can result from several factors, including:

  • Hormonal changes and aging
  • Environmental exposure and heat
  • Diet, lifestyle, and work conditions
  • Genetics, trauma, and certain birthmarks

Treatment Experience & Aftercare

During the treatment, plasma energy is applied to the area to stimulate coagulation. Once coagulated, the body identifies the capillaries as damaged and naturally removes them through the lymphatic system. Some lesions may require a second treatment after 14 days, allowing time for scabs to fall off naturally and skin to heal.

Aftercare

Following treatment, you may experience mild redness, and capillaries might appear slightly worse before fully healing. Larger vessels may require additional treatments like IPL or laser.

Is It Painful?

There may be mild discomfort, but the procedure is quick. If desired, you may use a topical anesthetic cream, which we can recommend and guide you in obtaining.
